Getting Around

Leave the car at home and avoid driving downtown. Take advantage of all-night TTC service on part of the subway system and the car free zone along Yonge Street!

The three Exhibitions are close together and walkable so you can see more in less time. To provide more space for pedestrians, some key road closures will be in place including Yonge Street between Front Street and Bloor Street.

      By Bike


Cycling is a great way to see as many projects across the city as possible. Don't forget a safety light, bell and helmet.

Check out BIXI, Toronto's public bike system � $5 will give you unlimited trips (of 30 minutes or less) all�night long.

The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) is the quick and convenient way to get around the city.

All-night service

In addition to the regular all-night Blue Night Network service, the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) is extending all-night service to a portion of the subway through to 7am on Sunday, October 2.

  • The Bloor-Danforth Subway will run all night from Keele to Woodbine
  • The Yonge-University-Spadina Subway will run all night from St. Clair West to Eglinton.

    NOTE: The TTC subway system will be closed between 7:30 - 9am on Sunday, October 2.

Last Train Times

Last train times on Sunday morning, October 2, 2011:

Yonge-University-Spadina line:

  • Last southbound train departs Eglinton at 7am, arriving at St. Clair West (final stop) at approximately 7:40am
  • Last southbound train departs St. Clair West at 7am, arriving at Eglinton (final stop) at approximately 7:40am.

Bloor-Danforth line:

  • Last westbound train departs Woodbine at 7am, arriving at Keele (final stop) at approximately 7:25am.
  • Last eastbound train departs Keele at 7am, arriving at Woodbine (final stop) at approximately 7:25am.

Park & Ride

Free all-night parking is available at TTC Commuter Parking Lots. The Spadina Subway Shuttle Bus will run frequently from St. Clair West Station, stopping at commuter parking lots located at or near Eglinton West, Wilson and Downsview stations. Special Event Day Pass

Enjoy Scotiabank Nuit Blanche with a Special Event Day Pass that goes all night long! The Special Event TTC Day Pass allows a single customer or a family/group of customers (up to 6 people, maximum 2 adults and 4 children/youths, 19 years of age or under) to pay one low price for unlimited travel on all regular TTC service. For Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, the TTC Day Pass is valid from the start of service on Saturday, October 1 until 9am on Sunday, October 2. Day Passes are available at all subway station Collector Booths starting September 15, at a cost of $10.

Go Transit

Let GO take you to Scotiabank Nuit Blanche...and home afterwards. Regular GO Train service runs hourly all day Saturday along the Lakeshore between Aldershot and Oshawa. To accommodate the late-night festivities, GO is running extra homebound Lakeshore trains in the early hours of October 2.

Lakeshore West

  • Extra westbound GO Train trips will depart Union Station at 1:30 am and 3:30 am making all stops to Aldershot GO Station.
  • Regular westbound service out of Union starts at 6:43 am on Sunday morning.

Lakeshore East

  • Extra eastbound GO Train trips will depart Exhibition GO Station at 1:20 am and 3:20 am making all stops to Oshawa GO Station.
  • Regular eastbound service out of Union Station starts at 7:13 am on Sunday morning.

      Road Closures


To ensure the safety of large audiences and to improve free-flowing access to the art, the City-produced Exhibitions will be positioned close to the Yonge-University TTC subway line. Portions of both Yonge Street and Bay Street will be entirely closed to vehicular traffic providing safe and easy access to many projects for pedestrians.

Yonge Street � between Front Street and Bloor Street

Yonge Street will be closed between Front Street and Bloor Street to all vehicular traffic at 8am Saturday, October 1 until 10am Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Major East-West routes will remain open at Yonge Street (including Wellington, King, Adelaide, Richmond, Dundas, College, Wellesley).

Bay Street � between Front Street West and Edward Street

Bay Street will be closed between Front Street West and Edward Street to all vehicular traffic at 5pm on Saturday, October 1 until 9am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Queen Street � between Victoria Street and University Avenue

Queen Street will be closed between Victoria Street and University Avenue to all vehicular traffic at 6pm on Saturday, October 1 until 9am on Sunday, October 2, 2021 (streetcar service will be maintained).

Queens Park Crescent East � between College Street and Charles Street

Queens Park Crescent East will be closed between College Street and Charles Street West to all vehicular traffic at 6pm on Saturday, October 1 until 7am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

**Only local traffic will have access to smaller side streets connected to Yonge Street, Bay Street, and Queens Park Crescent East.**

SPECIAL NOTE � EARLY CLOSURES:

Yonge Street � a section of Yonge Street between Richmond Street and Queen Street West will be closed at 1am on Saturday, October 1 until 10am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Bay Street � a section of Bay Street between Adelaide Street and Queen Street West will be closed at 1am on Saturday, October 1 until 10am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Bay Street � a section of Bay Street between Queen Street West and Edward Street will be closed at 8am Saturday, October 1 until 9am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Temperance Street � a section of Temperance Street between Yonge Street and Bay Street will be closed at midnight on Friday, September 30 until 9am on Sunday, October 2, 2011.
