Installation/Performance

The artist progressively crochets a large 3D installation in real time, that mimics the organic process of a room becoming infected by fungus. The performance illustrates the slow and tenacious process of growth and represents the spread of fungus and its reproduction through infected individuals. The audience is allowed to touch the work and interact with the performer during the event. 

Mary Dyja was born in Minsk, Belarus. 2011-2014: BFA at York University, Toronto.
