Performance Art

The Ontario Science Centre’s !dea Gallery and the University of Windsor’s INCUBATOR Lab invite you to join a parade of local, nocturnal ecology, in a ceremonial procession of bioart* projects departing from our home-base tent at CAMH at 9 pm, 1 am, and 5 am. Costumed artists/performers, joined by musicians and the public will illuminate and reveal a menagerie of living organisms via digital media and phosphorescence. Participants can pick up masks, streamers, noise-makers, take-home lab experiments and more. Join the parade!


*Bioart is a form of contemporary visual art that utilizes living biology as its medium. 

Ana Klasnja and Bioartist Jennifer Willet are the artistic directors of the ECO NUIT PARADE with artists, musicians and students from across Canada.

Schedule

ECO NUIT PARADE will maintain a home-base tent on the front lawn of CAMH throughout the night. Come and visit us for demonstrations and take-home lab experiments. Viewers can pick up masks, streamers, and noise-makers to join the parade departing from our tent at 9:00 pm, 1:00 am, and 5:00 am.
