Social Arts Installation
This social arts project represents a unique collaboration involving 29 social service agencies, hundreds of students and teachers from 53 schools and 4 school boards: Toronto, York, Dufferin-Peel and Durham.
Unprecedented in scope and collaboration this massive project celebrates Catholic Charities’ 100 years of helping people of all ages, from all enthno-cultural and religious backgrounds.
Each door has been transformed to become a unique canvas of art offering students both an authentic learning experience, and the opportunity to express their special point-of-view on the meaning of "Hope". Through the context of Catholic Charities' member agencies such as Covenant House, Rose of Durham, and Peel Dufferin Family Services, the Doors of Hope offer a beautiful commentary on the universal power of Charity and the meaning of Hope within our communities.
