Installation

Me  Me  Me  is a combination of a floor plan, an architect’s model and a peep hole.  As if given powers of X-ray vision, viewers will be able to see through the façade of a model condo building, revealing the individual units and people inside.

In a big city like Toronto, the walls between us make it easy to feel that we are alone or have privacy. The walls obscure that we are constantly surrounded by other people. By removing a wall, Me Me Me will reveal hidden interactions and patterns. Some viewers may see isolation and some may see comfort in hidden company. Others may see something funny or ironic, or claustrophobic, or a new view of individualized consumption. Hopefully everyone will see their city in a way they hadn't thought of before.

Avrïl Jacobson is an award-winning film editor whose work includes documentaries, dramas, music videos and video installations.
